Bad day for a game! On this day alone I have a wedding, grad party, and family in from Chicago. Who schedules these things anyways? 4 weekends in a row and only 2 in June? But, if thats what it takes to get Keith to show. Bound to catch him on one of the weekends. haha

If i don't show up often i don't have to show you all up as often. This gives you all at least a little bit of a fighting chance, you can all work and learn how to play.
Actually i would love to play on the bunnies side.  I don't think i have done that in almost 2 years.

Tim, i think a lot of us will be missing this one... I may be able to attend the Tionesta game the following weekend though.  It was a good time there last year, and good exercise with all the hilly terrain.

Probably going to be a bad weekend for this one for turn out. Have to see what the family has planned.  I like the scenario, should try this on a wider field where the attack can be more multi directional than this one allows. Plan on using it again if the turn out is low.

WARNING - SPREAD THE WORD!

We had an incident happen on this gameday that should not have happened.

Christian continually "pounded the hell" out of 2 Sniper Squad members after they were calling themselves out. Although this might sound funny - the impacts did'nt feel too good.
His gun was'nt set on full auto but his gun is set with a touchy trigger.

After investigating the problem, I found a few issues.
I, myself was in the vicinity and did hear the players yell "out" multiple times. Christian replied he must not have heard them because of his loud fan on his mask. PLAYERS...please put this distraction to mind while in battle. If your fan is on, carefully watch your opponent for reactions. There are multiple actions/re-actions going on all around you in a war environment which are always changing. Especially with newbies &/or young kids.

The other issue in this problem was raised guns. The 2 opposing players, while yelling "out", "out" multiple times did not raise their guns in the air signifying they were hit. So Christian kept pounding them thinking he must not have hit them or the balls were'nt breaking. PLAYERS...please adhere to the battlefield rules. Yell "out" - multiple times if neccesary as these players correctly did but also raise your gun - barrel skyward to visually show you are out and no longer a threat.

Things happen as Kevin Langer (Sniper Squad Captain) said as we were talking. But lets try to prevent this from happening in the future...attackers & defenders. Please spread the word.

I doubt Christian meant any malice but this brings up a good point.  I see people not raising guns high enough alot.  With balls flying back and forth in the heat of battle things happen quick.  If you're hit, yell "OUT" and the first thing that should go straight up into the air is your gun.

AND PUT IT HIGH!  a gun being slowly raised to me means someone is getting read to fire at me and I'm going to shoot!  But a gun that goes straight up into the air from behind a bunker or a tree is ALOT easier to see.  Are there still going to be episodes of an extra ball or three going out?  Sure are, but that's why it's your gun that goes up first so if you get hit the gun takes the hit.

You need to remember simply yelling out doesn't mean anyone will hear you.  Mask fans, guns firing right next to peoples ears, other teammates yelling..........very rarely do you hear someone yell out.  It's more often your actions that tell the person shooting at you that you are out.

Nuff of that, on to the game.  That was a fun gameday.  Even better was seeing all the younger kids playing and having alot of fun.  Now......on to TIonesta!

I've seen it alot  with multiple hits, the first reaction is to protect yourself by drawing in. There are a few happy triggers out there so you have to get in the mindset that raising your arms, and marker, is your best protestion. On the flip side, if you are close enough to make it hurt or firing full auto, you have to be aware of what you are doing. Fire a burst, not a hopper, see your effects while keeping on target, and then if necsisary, fire some more.

Glad to see it was a good day, had to work overtime again.

Your hand or gun clearly up in the air signals your out, a lot of times I put my hand up since it's easier and quicker, works well for me. Yelling out doesn't work well in the heat of battle. Probably should add this to our safety talk at the beginning of the games since we have several new players.
It would good to see the younger players playing more agressively, I thinks thats the main reason we won most battles. Tthey actually looked like they were having more fun than usual. Good teamwork = Win!
We'll need that when we take on Tionesta.
